FAQs
How to replace 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 headlight bulbs
Step 1: Identify the Bulbs
Identify the high and low beam bulbs on your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The low beam is a H11 bulb, and the high beam is an H9 bulb.
- Step 2: Access the Bulbs
Access the bulbs without popping the hood. Remove a few T-15 Torx screws from the fender lining, push it out of the way, and pop out the push pin clip.
- Step 3: Remove the Old Bulbs
For both high and low beams, remove the rubber covers and release the tabs on the connections. Twist the bulbs counterclockwise and pull them out. Remember not to touch the bulbs with bare hands.
- Step 4: Install the New Bulbs
Attach the new bulbs to the connections and carefully feed them back in. Align them at a 45-degree angle counterclockwise and rotate until pointing straight down vertically. Reseat the rubber covers firmly.
Finally, remember to avoid LEDs or HIDs in halogen-designed housings to prevent light dispersion issues and blinding other drivers.
