How to Replace 2018 Ford F-150 Headlight Bulb
Prepare the Vehicle: Turn the steering wheel away from the side you're working on to gain better access to the headlight area (right for the passenger side, left for the driver's side).
Remove Fasteners and Access Panel:
- Locate the access panel in the wheel well.
- Remove the clips and screws (7/32 socket needed) securing the panel.
- Peel back the panel for access to the headlight housing.
Access the Headlight Bulbs:
- Remove the pin at the top for additional clearance, if needed.
- Pull back the panel enough to reach the headlight bulbs.
Replace the Bulbs:
- Remove the dust cap to access the bulb.
- Twist and pull out the old bulb.
- Avoid touching the new bulb's glass or filament. Use gloves or handle by the base.
- Connect the new bulb to the power source, then insert and twist it into the socket.
- Ensure the bulb is secure and reattach the dust cap.
Test the Bulbs: Turn on the headlights to check the new bulbs.
Reassemble:
- Replace the inner fender liner and ensure all dust shields are in place.
- Secure the panel with previously removed clips and screws.
- Repeat for Other Side: Follow the same steps for the opposite side of the vehicle.
