FAQs

2019 Ford F-250 Headlight Bulb Replacement Guide

  1. Prepare the Vehicle: Open the hood of your 2017-2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty.
  2. Remove Top Panel: Use a panel popper to remove 13 clips from the top panel on the grille. Take off the top cover.
  3. Remove the Grille: Unscrew eight 10mm bolts from the top of the grille. Gently pull the grille forward. For the bottom clips, use a 16-inch flathead screwdriver to carefully remove them. If equipped with a front camera or washer nozzle, disconnect these before fully removing the grille.
  4. Remove the Headlamp: Locate four 10mm bolts securing the headlamp (one on top, two visible on the front, and one near the fender and bumper seal). If the headlamp is tight, loosen four 18mm bumper bolts to ease removal. After loosening, remove the headlamp.
  5. Disconnect and Replace Bulb: Disconnect all connectors on the back of the headlamp. Carefully remove the old bulb and replace it with the new LED bulb, ensuring it locks in place correctly. Reconnect all connectors and zip-tie any slack in the harness to the existing one.
  6. Reassemble: Place the headlamp back and tighten the four 10mm bolts. If loosened, re-tighten the bumper bolts. Reattach the grille, ensuring all clips and screws are secure. Replace the top panel and fasten the 13 clips.
  7. Test the Lights: Start the vehicle to test the new bulbs' brightness and functionality.
  8. Conclusion: You have successfully replaced the headlight bulbs on your Ford F-250 Super Duty with brighter LED bulbs.
