How to Replace 2003 Honda CR-V Headlight Bulb

  1. Locate the Headlight Assembly: Open the hood and locate the headlight assembly behind the battery on the outside of the car.
  2. Remove Electrical Connector: Gently pull back the electrical connector to the headlamp to disconnect it.
  3. Remove the Rubber Seal: Carefully take off the rubber seal from around the headlamp.
  4. Release the Spring Clip: Find the small metallic spring clip near the bulb. Press in and lift up to release it, then swing it to the side.
  5. Remove the Old Bulb: Carefully take out the old headlight bulb. Avoid touching the bulb directly as hand grease can damage it.
  6. Insert the New Bulb: Holding the new bulb, align it with the single prong on top and the two prongs on the sides. Seat it properly in the holder.
  7. Secure with the Spring Clip: Swing back the metallic retaining clip and press it into place to secure the new bulb.
  8. Replace the Rubber Seal: Reattach the rubber seal around the headlamp.
  9. Reconnect Electrical Connector: Plug the electrical connector back into the headlamp.
  10. Test the Headlight: Turn on the headlights to ensure the new bulb is working properly.
