2021 Hyundai Elantra Headlight Bulb Size

The “2021 Hyundai Elantra Bulb Size Guide” highlights a streamlined approach in its lighting system. Notably, it utilizes a 9005 bulb size for both high and low beam headlights, indicating a design aimed at simplification and ease of maintenance. This model features 10 unique bulb positions, with several positions sharing common bulb sizes. For instance, the 12961 halogen bulb is used for the license plate, front and rear side markers, and the inner brake light, suggesting a focus on uniformity across various lighting positions. Additionally, traditional bulb types like the 1157 for brake and tail lights, and the 2357 for rear turn signals, reflect a blend of modernity and conventionality in the Elantra's design.

The Hyundai Elantra 2021 presents itself as a well-rounded contender in the sedan market. Its strengths lie in its sleek design and fuel efficiency, making it a solid choice for the eco-conscious driver. However, it might fall short for those seeking a more spirited driving experience. The interior, while comfortable, doesn't quite hit the luxury mark, positioning the Elantra as a practical, everyday car rather than a thrill-seeker's choice.

FAQs

How to Replace 2021 Hyundai Elantra Headlight Bulb with LED

  1. Prepare for Installation: Make sure you have the correct LED bulbs for the Elantra to avoid error codes. Links for suitable bulbs are often provided in the video description.
  2. Access the Headlight Area: Pop the hood by pulling the lever under the driver's side door. Locate the headlight area behind a cover near the wheel well.
  3. Remove the Gasket: Reach behind the cover and twist off the gasket protecting the headlight from moisture. Be mindful of wires and components in the area.
  4. Remove the Old Bulb: Turn off the headlights for safety. Reach into the headlight housing, find the incandescent bulb, and twist it to the side to remove.
  5. Disconnect the Connector: Carefully disconnect the existing connector from the incandescent bulb.
  6. Install the LED Bulb: Connect the new LED bulb to the connector. Be careful not to touch the diode or let the LED touch other components, as this can damage the bulb.
  7. Test the LED Bulb: Before securing everything back, turn on your car to ensure the LED is working correctly.
  8. Secure the LED Bulb: Maneuver the bulb into the right position in the headlight housing and twist it to lock in place.
  9. Replace the Gasket: Ensure all cables are tucked in and moisture-protected. Put the gasket back on, making sure it's correctly sealed.
  10. Repeat on Both Sides: Follow the same process for the other headlight.
  11. Final Check: Turn on the headlights to confirm both LEDs are functioning.
  12. Close the Hood: Once satisfied, close the hood.
