How to Replace 2008 Nissan Altima Headlight Bulb

Turn the Wheel: Adjust the wheel for access to the headlight assembly.

Loosen Splash Shield: Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen three bumper screws. Remove the plastic fastener and pull out the splash shield.

Remove Headlight Bulb:

  • Locate the bulb assembly.
  • Disconnect the wire or remove the bulb with the wire attached.
  • Turn the bulb counterclockwise and extract it.

Install New Bulb:

  • Align the new bulb’s tabs with the socket.
  • Insert and twist clockwise to lock.
  • Reconnect the electrical connector.

Test the Bulb: Ensure the new bulb works.

Reassemble:

  • Place the splash shield back.
  • Reinsert screws and the plastic fastener.
  • Adjust the wheel back to its original position.
