FAQs

Step-by-Step Guide to Replacing 2007-2011 Toyota Camry Headlight Bulbs

  1. Identify Bulb Locations: Open the hood and locate the bulb sockets on both the driver's and passenger's sides. The driver's side has the main headlight and the running light, while the passenger's side has the main headlight and the running light.
  2. Access the Bulb Socket: To access the bulb socket, you can either unplug the wiring harness from the bulb first or remove the bulb and then unplug it. It's recommended to remove the bulb first for better control.
  3. Remove the Old Bulb: Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise about a quarter turn and pull it out. This will reveal the old bulb.
  4. Prepare the New Bulb: When handling the new bulb (H11 for the main headlight and 9005 for the running light), avoid touching the glass to prevent premature bulb failure. Ensure the gasket is in place on the new bulb.
  5. Attach New Bulb to Harness: Align the tabs on the bulb with the tabs in the fixture and insert it into the plug. Make sure it snaps in securely.
  6. Install the New Bulb: Insert the bulb into the headlight assembly, ensuring the gasket touches the back of the assembly. Give it a quarter turn clockwise to lock it in place.
  7. Repeat for Running Light: The process is the same for the running light bulb. Insert, secure, and test.
  8. Test the Lights: Turn on your headlights to ensure they work properly.
